PUNICA GRANATUM L. - POMEGRANATE.

Common name: pomegranate, granada, anar, granaatappel, grenade, granatapfel.
Family: punicaceae.
Originally from India, Granada, growing up to 18 feet with a decidious foliage. The flowers are orange-red while the fruit is globose 3" in diameter. It has a caly shaped like a crown.The edible fruit with numerous seeds, can be eaten cut of hand or used in jelly.
Hardiness: USDA zone 7 B - 11. Propagation: seeds and cuttings. Culture: full sun / light shade, good drought tolerance. Can withstand temperatures to 5° F. It is also a good container plant.
