Musk okra is an annual tropical herbaceous plant growing up to 6' tall.
It has toothed leaves; yellow - or purple flowers.
The seeds are in a hairy, cornered pyramid capsule; these seeds have
medicinal applications; as an antidote for snakebites; an emulsion from the seeds is considered to be anti-spasmodic and is used externally.
Extensively used as an insecticide and a aphrodisiac.
The oil of the seeds, with a strong musk odor, are also used in the perfume industry (now largely replaced by synthetic musk oils) and is used to flavor coffee.

USDA zone 9B - 11.
Seeds and cuttings.
Full sun.
Flowers year round (with the temperature above 68°F).
Needs moist well drained soil.
Frost tender; temperature should be above 60°F; plant in frost free spots.
